The name Felt by Jane was born of a brainstorming session with my mom.
Together we enjoy finding the heart of words.
“Felt” in this context is used for multiple meanings:

1. Felt by the heart
2. Felt by the hand
3. Felt: the magical meshing of fibres

The call to create “felt by jane” was a voice from inside speaking up - and up! Creating with fibre has sparked passion and joy I want to share.

I source fibre from vendors supplying ethically sourced products; local when available. My soap bars are made with premium natural soap bases lovingly scented with essential oils and fragrances. Unscented options are avaiable.
I am excited to offer handmade heat resistent, hot plate mats (aka trivets). These are layers of wet-felted wool, underside is finished with a layer of 40% wool felt with rayon and wood fibres for durability and clean finish.
